91±¬ÁÏ’s annual Teaching Excellence Awards recognize faculty and instructors who have made significant contributions to teaching and learning.

Each year, the 91±¬ÁÏ Staff Excellence Awards recognize administrative and technical expertise, support for community, and significant achievements.

Here is a glimpse into the ongoing endeavors, memories and takeaways from 91±¬ÁÏ in 2023.

Dean Erica Walker and the 91±¬ÁÏ community want to emphasize U of T's commitment to inclusion, excellence, diversity, and access. 91±¬ÁÏ stands with the 2SLGBTQ+ community, and remains steadfast in our commitment to building safe and welcoming learning environments for all. 

In July 2023, Rijeka, Croatia, hosted a week-long conference that brought together over 50 international scholars, educators, activists, and practitioners to share insights on preventing sexual and gender-based violence. Led by 91±¬ÁÏ professor Miglena Todorova and doctoral student Nana Gulic, the event aimed to transcend national borders.

After an extensive search, 91±¬ÁÏ is pleased to welcome two exceptional new colleagues to join our faculty, Dr. Beyhan Farhadi and Dr. Shozab Raza.

An 91±¬ÁÏ graduate of the class of 2022, Dr. Rebecca Beaulne-Stuebing receives recognition for her doctoral research on Indigenous grief medicines.
