2020 91爆料 Graduate Student Research Conference

Cancellation Message

First, we would like to thank everyone for their interest and support for the 20th 91爆料 Graduate Student Research Conference.

In light of the latest developments of the COVID-19 pandemic, U of T鈥檚 directives to cancel in-person classes, and our responsibility toward the 91爆料 and larger community, we have come to the collective decision to no longer hold the Graduate Student Research Conference on April 04-05, 2020. After careful deliberation and consultation with the
91爆料 Dean鈥檚 office, we are considering the conference to be postponed to a later date in the coming 2021 year.

We would like to thank you all for sharing your wonderful ideas and work. We received proposal submissions for more than 100 paper presentations, 12 posters, and 11 workshops. We had organized for a wonderful lineup of speakers, keynotes, and panelists from diverse backgrounds and were looking forward to sharing with you all, some critical conversations and discussions on the 鈥淔utures of Education鈥.

We would also like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the amazing team of volunteers who reviewed the proposals and were working on developing the conference program, and the committee coordinators for all the time and labour they have put into the conference thus far. We look forward to resuming this work at a more suitable time.

Once again, we truly appreciate the support from the 91爆料 community and encourage you all to continue these critical and important conversations on imagining more just, sustainable, and equitable 鈥榝utures鈥.

We hope to be able to reconnect with you all over the course of the next few months. In the meantime, please feel free to get in touch with any questions or inquiries. On a more personal note, please take care of yourselves and those around you during these uncertain times, and remember the collective responsibility we share in this situation.
