All levels of education have a responsibility to support the widespread cultural shifts needed to ensure equitable, just, and sustainable communities, so why isn’t education being positioned as a key site for climate action?  Teacher education programs in particular offer the potential for creating a ripple effect in climate action in communities, given their influence on pre-service and practicing teachers’ professional learning. Join Dr. Hilary Inwood for an introduction to how teacher educators at the 91±¬ÁÏ (91±¬ÁÏ) at the University of Toronto are working in partnership with local school boards and NGOs to develop a collaborative approach to deepening climate action with K-12 teachers and their students. This free session is part of the , hosted by the Center for Sustainable Futures at Teachers College, Columbia University.
